Job Description

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Consultant III to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in UI and database test automation, SQL, Unix, and Agile delivery and a proven ability to design and execute comprehensive test strategies that ensure high-quality releases across functional, integration, and regression scopes.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases based on functional requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Contribute to test planning and build test cases for sprint stories in Scrum environments.
  • Automate UI and database test cases using tools such as Selenium and Tosca.
  • Design, create, and manage test data to support execution.
  • Execute manual and automated tests and record results with clarity and accuracy.
  • Test new and existing features, support unit and integration debugging, and report defects and failures.
  • Partner with development for defect triage and resolution.
  • Execute testing across functional, integration, and regression levels.
  • Design, develop, and maintain reliable automation scripts.
  • Own end-to-end testing for assigned features and releases.
  • Detect, track, and document software defects and inconsistencies and propose timely solutions.
  • Apply quality principles throughout the Agile product lifecycle with required documentation and standards adherence.
  • Ensure standards and processes are implemented across projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or related field.
  • 6+ years of overall experience with at least 5 years in software testing and QA.
  • Hands-on automation using Selenium and/or Tosca for UI and database validation.
  • Expertise in testing UI and database changes with solid ETL and data validation exposure.
  • Strong SQL skills with ability to write complex queries and joins; experience with Oracle preferred.
  • Experience with Unix, including writing and executing commands and scripts.
  • Familiarity with Autosys for job scheduling and test orchestration.
  • Proficiency with test management tools such as qTest or Octane.
  • Knowledge of SIT and UAT phases and deliverables.
  • Strong documentation and defect troubleshooting ability.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills; effective collaboration in large teams.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work self-directed in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in the banking or financial services domain.
  • Prior work with globally distributed Agile teams.
