Job Description and Duties
Patton State Hospital, Human Resources Department, is accepting applications for at least one (1) Permanent, Full-time Senior Psychologist Supervisor position. The vacancy exists in the Psychology Department and is under the supervsion of the Cheif of Psychology.
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Psychology Training Director. Under general direction and supervision of the Chief of Psychology, the Psychology Training Director is responsible for the overall development, coordination, and oversight of the hospital's psychology training program, serving unlicensed practicum students, clinical psychology interns, and postdoctoral fellows. This role ensures that all training activities align with professional standards, regulatory requirements, and evidence-based practices in forensic mental health. The Director provides leadership in curriculum design, clinical supervision, and competency evaluation, while fostering a structured and supportive learning environment. In collaboration with multidisciplinary staff, the incumbent promotes the integration of ethical practice, cultural competence, and forensic expertise, preparing trainees to deliver high-quality psychological services within a secured treatment setting.

Working Conditions
Patton is a forensic psychiatric hospital and was established in 1890 and opened in 1893. DSH-Patton provides treatment to forensically and civilly committed patients within a secure treatment area. The hospital does not accept voluntary admissions.
