Are you an experienced Property Accountant looking to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Senior Property Accountant to join our thriving team. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of commercial real estate properties, including shopping centers. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the financial management and reporting of our property portfolio, contributing to the overall success of our business.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Property Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Overseeing the full cycle accounting for a portfolio of commercial properties, including shopping centers.
2. Preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
3. Conducting variance analysis and providing detailed reports to management on financial performance.
4. Coordinating with property managers to ensure accurate and timely rent roll management and lease administration.
5. Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, as well as conducting budget-to-actual analysis.
6. Conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
7. Liaising with external auditors and providing necessary support during audits.
8. Participating in special projects and ad-hoc reporting as required.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Senior Property Accountant position, you must possess the following:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial real estate accounting, with a focus on shopping centers.
3. Proficiency in General Ledger (GL) accounting systems.
4. Strong knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting principles.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
6. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
7. Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
8. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
9. CPA certification is highly desirable.
