Pay Rate: $21-25/hour
Schedule Monday - Friday 6:30 AM - 3PM

Overview
Specialty Chemical Company is seeking a Project Order Associate to join their team on a contract to hire basis! This role would lead and support production and order fulfillment activities, in a client facing role. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in order management, production coordination, project coordination, shipping/receiving or chemical manufacturing who enjoys working cross-functionally and directly with clients.

Responsibilities

• Support daily production and order fulfillment activities at the Cumberland, MD facility.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for key customer projects, coordinate work order preparation, oversee inventory activities, and support production team operations.
• Prepare and distribute daily work orders to production staff.
• Coordinate receipt, storage, and shipment of chemical compounds.
• Prepare shipping documentation, labels, and related records.
• Process client weigh requests, perform tare weighing
• Follow all SOPs and quality procedures while meeting deadlines.
• Assist the Site Manager in overseeing day-to-day production operations.
• Assist in troubleshooting operational issues and supporting process improvements.
• Handle chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines and utilize PPE as required.
• Follow all safety procedures and compliance standards.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and retain process knowledge
• Experience working with analytical or precision scales (preferred)
• Warehouse, distribution, laboratory, or production experience (preferred)
• Inventory control experience (preferred)
• Experience handling chemicals or working in regulated environments (preferred)
• Prior leadership, training, or mentoring experience (preferred)
• Ability to use fine motor skills and handle small materials accurately
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds with assistance
• Frequent use of PPE and handling of chemical materials
