Education: Professional degree in architecture from an accredited program
At least 12 years of experience and a minimum of 6 completed projects. Manages large, complex, or multiple projects, oversees junior project managers, and may step into team leadership in the absence of the Managing Principal.
Qualifications
- Architectural licensure required; sustainable design certification preferred
- Minimum 12 years of experience and 6 completed projects of comparable scale
- Mastered leadership, financial management, and client relationship expertise
Responsibilities
- Direct full project lifecycle operations to ensure quality, code compliance, and client satisfaction
- Lead strategic project planning, fee estimations, proposals, and contract negotiations
- Oversee and mentor Project Managers and technical teams
- Manage project financial performance, scope changes, and risk assessments
- Maintain primary client communication and foster long-term business growth
- Enforce firm-wide QA/QC practices
Skillsets
- Comprehensive control over project financial metrics and delivery schedules
- Expert knowledge of building design, construction execution, and contract administration
- Advanced skills in MS Project, Bluebeam, MS Office, and BIM/CAD management platforms
