Job Overview:
The Senior Project Manager will lead and support multiple work streams within a large finance-focused program, ensuring strategic alignment, effective execution, and successful delivery of complex initiatives. This role involves managing direct and indirect resources across geographically dispersed locations, driving transitions and integrations, and partnering closely with senior stakeholders. The Senior Project Manager will oversee people, process, technology, and real estate components to deliver the target operating model for the finance organization, while maintaining strong governance, communication, and risk management practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support multiple work streams within a broader program, ensuring alignment with overall program vision and objectives.
  • Communicate project activities, milestones, and dependencies to key management colleagues and team members across regions and functions.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects and programs simultaneously, ensuring timelines, scope, and quality standards are met.
  • Select, utilize, and maintain project implementation documentation, including implementation toolkits, migration schedules, and other project artifacts.
  • Support project facilitation by identifying, escalating, and tracking risks and issues, and communicating their impact on business initiatives to management.
  • Design and create strategic project documents such as business cases, assessments, communication plans, and detailed project plans.
  • Prepare and deliver project updates and presentations to senior-level management within the finance organization.
  • Provide strategic support and leadership in decision-making processes required for progress on assigned programs and projects.
  • Facilitate problem solving and decision making on key project items, ensuring alignment with program goals and stakeholder expectations.
  • Ensure adherence to established project controls, governance frameworks, and compliance requirements for assigned projects.
  • Proactively identify and resolve project and program issues, managing deliverables and mitigating risks across functions.
  • Oversee and enforce change control processes for assigned projects and programs, ensuring changes are documented, approved, and communicated.
  • Lead and coordinate regular status reporting, including progress updates, risk and issue logs, and action item tracking.
  • Prepare for and lead meetings effectively, including developing agendas, documenting outcomes, and following up on action items.
  • Collaborate with and provide direction to other project managers within the program to ensure consistency and alignment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local and regional senior stakeholders, demonstrating executive presence and credibility.
  • Support the delivery of the end-state target operating model for finance, including people, process, technology, and real estate components.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, preferably within finance or a related domain.
  • Proven experience delivering major change initiatives and large, complex projects or programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage direct and indirect resources across geographically dispersed locations.
  • Strong background in finance-related projects, including exposure to target operating models and transformation initiatives.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and programs with competing priorities.
  • Proficiency in developing project documentation such as business cases, project plans, communication plans, and status reports.
  • Strong risk and issue management skills, including escalation, mitigation, and resolution.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact confidently with senior and executive-level stakeholders.
  • Executive presence and the ability to lead meetings, ask insightful questions, and influence decision-making.
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Strong listening skills and the ability to understand and translate stakeholder needs into actionable plans.
  • Adaptable and flexible, able to adjust to changing priorities, environments, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Comfortable working with hybrid teams and managing work across people, process, technology, and real estate components.
  • Self-motivated, able to drive objectives to conclusion with minimal oversight and direction.
  • Experience working within a large program environment and collaborating with multiple project managers.

Pay Range: $50 - $73/hour on W2

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
