    Description

    As a member of our Payment Implementations team you will be responsible for relationship management and implementation of our payment platform. This includes discovery and planning, documenting, configuring, testing and implementing payment platform and software to deliver effective and citizen-centric, digital government payment solutions.

    Projects will be a mix of quick, limited scope and large broad scope projects. The role's primary responsibility will be ensuring day-to-day project operations. In addition, the Senior Project Manager is expected to be a mentor and advisor to less experienced staff and a thought-leader around Tyler project management processes and our comprehensive suite of secure payment solutions.

    Responsibilities:

    • Work with functional departments and key project stakeholders to identify new IT and payment projects and enhancements to existing IT and payments projects
    • Manage multiple activities for the large enterprise wide projects without missing critical deadlines
    • Develop project plans and documents following company guidelines and standards
    • Keep projects moving and help team members work productively by using effective project management techniques coupled with great people skills
    • Lead varying levels of internal technical and business staff in a matrixed organization model as well as external clients
    • Apply best practices, principles and processes in working with teams on developing solutions that support and enhance client needs
    • Continually analyze processes and initiate process improvements to ensure an efficient and effective client experience
    • Interpret customer business needs and translate them into business and functional operational requirements
    • Assign, schedule, monitor and regularly communicate project work and progress following the project plan and company guidelines
    • Collaborate with client and internal teams to obtain feedback on project and quality of service and take immediate corrective action as required and work to solution and solve complex business issues
    • Thoroughly document all meeting minutes, managing action items identified and ensuring each entity understands the required action to be completed
    • Identify, track and communicate project-related issues, risks, scope changes, variances and contingencies that may arise during the project life cycle
    • Upon project completion conduct meetings with clients to ensure a smooth transition of services from implementation to support and client success.
    • Provide guidance and mentorship to implementation team to achieve team, individual and project goals
    • Understand implementation processes, methods, deliverables and contract terms
    • Technical knowhow to interpret and explain technical information and procedures to clients
    • Strong analytical, problem solving, risk assessment and decision-making skills
    • Shows initiative and willingness to take on tasks without being asked
    • Willing to performs a variety of Project Management, Business Analysis and Customer Success type tasks
    • Ability to manage and work with supervisors and leadership to manage multiple dependent projects as a portfolio and ensure sequencing and resources are appropriate
    • Knows when to consult with management on projects or decisions
    • Demonstrate product expertise
    • Excellent listening, verbal and writing skills
    • Exceptional customer service skills and demonstrated ability to maintain a positive, professional attitude
    • Strong presentation and facilitation skills to communicate with and persuade a wide range of audiences
    • Must be comfortable speaking in front of small to large groups primarily via conference and video calls
    • Ability to prioritize and manage a variety of projects simultaneously with success
    • Ability to persuade and influence other teams without direct authority to achieve results

    Qualifications:

    • Undergraduate degree in Business/Management Information Systems, or equivalent area of study
    • Seven or more years of experience managing information technology implementation projects
    • High level of software lifecycle and enterprise software knowledge.
    • Proven experience managing custom software development projects

    Additional Qualifications:

    • Project management training (PMP, Certified Scrum Product Owner, etc.) preferred
    • Experience with Atlassian suite of applications preferred
    • Local, State or Federal government working experience preferred
    • Payments industry and product knowledge
