Job Description
The Senior Project Manager will:
- Lead a large-scale institutional construction project from preconstruction through closeout
- Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, consultants, and project stakeholders
- Provide leadership to project teams including Project Engineers, Assistant Project Managers, Superintendents, and support staff
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and reporting processes
- Administer owner contracts, subcontracts, and procurement activities
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
- Coordinate design, engineering, and construction efforts to ensure project success
- Lead project meetings and effectively communicate progress, risks, and solutions
- Monitor project financial performance and maintain budget objectives
- Identify and proactively mitigate project risks
- Oversee Quality Assurance and Quality Control initiatives
- Ensure successful project turnover, closeout, and client satisfaction

The Successful Applicant
A successful Senior Project Manager should have:
- Experience managing public construction projects within the property industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and compliance standards.
- Proven ability to manage budgets and schedules effectively.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to coordinate with diverse teams.
- Ability to problem-solve and adapt to project challenges.
Familiarity with construction management software and tools. The successful Senior Project Manager will have:
- 10+ years of experience with a General Contractor or Construction Manager
- Proven experience leading large-scale construction projects valued at $30M+
- Experience with institutional, higher education, public sector, laboratory, healthcare, or technically complex projects preferred
- Design-Build experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects from preconstruction through completion
- Strong client-facing communication and relationship management skills
- Experience leading project teams and mentoring junior construction professionals
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
- Strong understanding of budgeting, scheduling, contract administration, and project controls
- Ability to effectively manage multiple stakeholders in a complex project environment
- Reputation for professionalism, integrity, accountability, and strong work ethic
