MRM is seeking a strategic and technically savvy Senior Program Manager to lead the delivery of complex digital, website, and omnichannel marketing initiatives for a pharmaceutical client. This role serves as the operational leader across multiple cross-functional teams, overseeing digital platforms, creative campaigns, website enhancements, content operations, and integrated marketing programs while ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and user experience goals.
The ideal candidate combines strong program management expertise with a deep understanding of digital ecosystems, web technologies, data platforms, creative production workflows, and pharmaceutical marketing operations. They are equally comfortable discussing technical requirements with data and technology teams, navigating MLR review processes, and managing creative execution across agency and client stakeholders.
This individual will establish scalable governance models, optimize operational processes, and drive collaboration across strategy, creative, UX, technology, analytics/data, content, and client teams. Success in this role requires executive-level communication skills, strong business acumen, and the ability to lead complex programs in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
Responsibilities:
Project & Program Leadership
- Lead the intake, planning, prioritization, and execution of digital initiatives, including website enhancements, platform upgrades, omnichannel campaigns, content releases, and ongoing site operations.
- Manage multiple concurrent workstreams across creative, technology, content, analytics, and production teams while maintaining alignment to strategic business goals.
- Develop and maintain integrated program roadmaps, delivery plans, resource forecasts, budgets, dependencies, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Establish governance frameworks and scalable operational processes to support a growing client engagement and evolving business needs.
- Serve as the primary point of coordination across agency teams, client stakeholders, external vendors, and technology partners.
Technical & Digital Delivery Management
- Partner closely with UX, development, CMS, QA, data, analytics, and platform teams to ensure successful delivery of digital experiences.
- Translate business requirements into actionable project plans and facilitate communication between business and technical stakeholders.
- Manage dependencies across digital platforms, content management systems, integrations, web services, analytics implementations, and marketing technologies.
- Drive Agile delivery practices, sprint planning, backlog management, release planning, and cross-functional coordination where appropriate.
- Monitor program health through KPIs, dashboards, and status reporting, providing proactive visibility into timelines, risks, budget impacts, and resource needs.
Creative Operations & Content Management
- Lead creative workflows from intake through production, review, approval, and launch.
- Manage creative routing, review cycles, stakeholder approvals, and content authoring requests across multiple teams and workstreams.
- Coordinate closely with creative, copy, UX, content, and production teams to ensure deliverables meet quality standards and business objectives.
- Review creative assets, authored content, and deliverables for completeness, accuracy, consistency, and readiness prior to client review or deployment.
- Drive operational efficiencies across creative production processes and identify opportunities to streamline execution.
Pharmaceutical & Regulatory Management
- Manage projects within a regulated pharmaceutical environment, ensuring adherence to established compliance, legal, regulatory, and promotional review requirements.
- Partner with Medical, Legal, Regulatory (MLR), Brand, and Commercial stakeholders to facilitate efficient review and approval processes.
- Anticipate and mitigate risks associated with regulatory reviews, approval timelines, and market-specific requirements.
- Ensure project plans and delivery schedules appropriately account for compliance review cycles and client governance processes.
Stakeholder Management
- Build strong relationships with client leadership, cross-functional teams, and key stakeholders.
- Facilitate project kickoffs, status meetings, working sessions, executive updates, and retrospectives.
- Influence decision-making through thoughtful communication, data-driven recommendations, and strategic problem-solving.
- Proactively identify risks, escalations, and blockers, driving alignment and resolution across teams.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 7+ years of experience in program management, digital project management, integrated marketing delivery, or digital transformation initiatives.
- Pharmaceutical, healthcare, life sciences, or regulated industry experience required.
- Agency experience strongly preferred.
- Proven experience leading complex digital programs spanning creative, content, technology, and marketing workstreams.
- Strong understanding of website development lifecycles, content management systems, user experience design, digital production, analytics, and marketing technologies.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams including strategy, creative, UX, development, QA, analytics, content, and production.
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, hybrid delivery methodologies, and enterprise governance practices.
- Demonstrated success managing MLR review processes and pharmaceutical promotional materials.
- Strong executive presence and ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills & Tools
- Expertise with project and work management platforms including Workfront, Jira, Smartsheet, Azure DevOps, MS Project, or similar tools.
- Experience working with CDP platforms such as Salesforce Data Cloud or related technologies.
- Understanding of web technologies, CMS, CRM, APIs, integrations, analytics implementations, tagging, and digital marketing ecosystems.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Experience supporting omnichannel campaigns, digital ecosystems, and customer engagement platforms.
- PMP, SAFe, Scrum Master (CSM), Agile, or related certifications preferred.
This role is based in New York City. The salary range for this position is $95,000 to $115,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; the associated discipline; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee's/applicant's background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
$95,000-$115,000
Omnicom's policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager. Our objective is to increase this requirement over time, and many of our agencies as well as Omnicom's corporate group already require five days of in-office attendance.
