A financial-services organization is seeking a Senior Project Manager to manage a broad portfolio of enterprise initiatives spanning technology and business functions.
This is not a narrowly focused project role. The successful candidate will be comfortable moving between projects of different sizes, complexity levels, and subject areas, including infrastructure, cloud, software, vendor implementations, and other enterprise initiatives.
The position requires a delivery-focused Project Manager who can enter an unfamiliar project, quickly understand the subject matter, establish the appropriate project structure, and independently drive the initiative through execution and completion.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Independently manage small, medium, and large enterprise projects.
- Establish project plans, milestones, timelines, and delivery processes.
- Drive projects through execution and delivery.
- Manage budgets, schedules, resources, risks, issues, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations.
- Build and maintain project artifacts throughout the lifecycle.
- Coordinate across Technology and business functions.
- Manage third-party vendors and suppliers.
- Manage requirements changes and assess their impact on delivery.
- Support full-SDLC activities when applicable.
- Coordinate testing, UAT, implementation, and delivery activities when applicable.
- Communicate status, risks, issues, and decisions to senior stakeholders.
- Quickly learn unfamiliar business and technology areas.
- Contribute to portfolio reporting, resource planning, governance, and broader PMO execution.
Role Requirements- Strong enterprise project-management experience.
- Approximately 7 years of experience preferred, with strong candidates in the 5 7 year range considered.
- Demonstrated ownership of multiple types and sizes of projects.
- Strong project-management fundamentals.
- Experience independently driving projects through delivery.
- Experience managing budgets, schedules, resources, risks, issues, dependencies, and stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
- Enough technology understanding to communicate across infrastructure, cloud, engineering, support, application, and vendor teams.
- Experience managing third-party vendors or suppliers.
- Strong communication, stakeholder-management, and critical-thinking skills.
- Practical professional proficiency using AI tools.
- Ability to work fully onsite in Morristown.
- Flexibility for occasional after-hours work when required by project delivery.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE- Banking or financial-services experience.
- Enterprise PMO/ePMO experience.
