IT Project Manager - Consumer Privacy Initiatives

Location: Torrance, CA

Work Arrangement: Onsite (4 days per week)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead and deliver high?impact consumer privacy initiatives within a large enterprise technology environment. This onsite contract role focuses on managing tactical, regulatory?driven projects that support consumer data privacy, compliance, and remediation efforts. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, exceptional communication skills, and a proven ability to manage complex IT projects across cross?functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and execute tactical consumer privacy projects, ensuring adherence to regulatory deadlines and internal governance standards.
• Serve as the central point of coordination between data privacy business stakeholders, legal teams, IT technical groups, product owners, and leadership.
• Deliver consistent daily and weekly project status updates, clearly communicating progress, risks, dependencies, and impacts.
• Lead all phases of the project lifecycle, including scope definition, proof?of?concept/proof?of?technology (POC/POT), design, build, testing, and go?live.
• Proactively identify deviations from approved project plans, document risks and issues, escalate concerns appropriately, and drive issues to resolution.
• Facilitate project meetings, status reviews, and decision?making forums to ensure alignment and accountability across teams.
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, and resource allocations for both internal labor and outsourced services.
• Partner with finance and leadership teams to support cost tracking, financial reporting, and resource planning efforts.
• Ensure all projects are delivered on time and aligned with approved business objectives, legal requirements, and enterprise data governance standards.
• Maintain accurate and complete project documentation in compliance with organizational policies, audit requirements, and regulatory standards.

Required Skills & Experience

• Demonstrated experience managing enterprise IT projects with complex stakeholder involvement.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage timelines, remediation activities, and competing priorities.
• Proven experience managing project budgets, forecasts, and vendor or outsourced services.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present clearly to both technical and non?technical audiences.
• High attention to detail and a strong sense of accountability for project delivery and compliance.

Preferred Qualifications (Strongly Desired)

• Experience with CCPA Consumer Privacy Requests and Fulfillment processes.
• Hands?on experience supporting consumer privacy or data privacy initiatives.
• Familiarity with regulatory?driven IT projects involving legal, compliance, and data governance stakeholders.
