The Project Manager IAM will lead complex, cross-functional programs focused on
identity modernization and Okta platform delivery, often working in fast-moving environments with evolving requirements, multiple stakeholders, and third-party vendors.
Success in this role requires strong delivery discipline, the ability to navigate ambiguity, and the capability to align teams across a
global technology landscape.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Delivery & Execution- Lead end-to-end delivery of IAM programs, including enterprise identity modernization and access transformation initiatives.
- Translate high-level business objectives into structured plans, milestones, and actionable workstreams.
- Maintain integrated project plans covering scope, schedule, risks, dependencies, and deliverables.
- Drive execution in dynamic environments where requirements and sequencing may evolve.
IAM & Okta Program Leadership- Manage delivery of Okta-based Identity & Access Management solutions across a global user base.
- Partner with IAM architects, security leaders, application teams, and business stakeholders to align delivery.
- Support enterprise IAM capabilities such as authentication, MFA, access requests, approvals, and access reviews.
Vendor & Cross-Team Coordination- Act as the primary liaison between internal teams and third-party vendors (PM-to-PM).
- Coordinate delivery across distributed teams within a global technology organization.
- Hold vendors accountable to timelines, deliverables, and escalation processes.
Governance, Risk & Dependency Management- Proactively identify and manage risks, dependencies, and readiness challenges.
- Establish clear governance structures, reporting cadence, and escalation paths.
- Ensure transparency and timely resolution of issues impacting delivery.
Stakeholder & Executive Communication- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences across global teams.
- Deliver concise, executive-ready reporting on project health, milestones, risks, and decisions.
- Drive accountability and ownership in a matrixed, multinational environment.
Required Qualifications- 46 years of project management experience with a focus on Identity & Access Management (IAM).
- Proven experience delivering IAM transformation or modernization programs in enterprise environments.
- Hands-on experience leading Okta IAM implementations or enhancements.
- Demonstrated success managing third-party vendors and coordinating delivery across multiple teams.
- Strong ability to operate in ambiguity and maintain delivery momentum.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with Okta Identity Governance (access requests, certifications, approvals).
- Experience working within large-scale, global technology organizations.
- Background supporting security, identity, or compliance-driven initiatives.
- Ability to work on-site in the Greater Phoenix area.
