Job Details
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee multiple construction projects from preconstruction through final completion. This leadership role is responsible for overall project performance, financial management, scheduling, contract administration, safety oversight, quality control, and client satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background working for a general contractor and experience managing complex commercial, infrastructure, or heavy civil construction projects.
Responsibilities
Lead all phases of project execution including planning, procurement, scheduling, budgeting, quality control, safety, and closeout
Participate in preconstruction activities including estimating, budgeting, value engineering, and constructability reviews
Manage project financials, forecasts, cost controls, billing, and profitability
Supervise and mentor Project Engineers, Assistant Project Managers, and other assigned project staff
Partner closely with Superintendents to ensure successful field operations, project safety, quality assurance, and schedule performance
Manage subcontractor procurement, negotiations, contract administration, and performance
Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors
Negotiate change orders, resolve contract issues, and facilitate project-related dispute resolution
Monitor project risks and implement mitigation strategies to maintain schedule and budget objectives
Ensure compliance with project specifications, regulatory requirements, EEO initiatives, and subcontracting requirements where applicable
Collaborate with leadership and fellow Project Managers to identify solutions and continuously improve project delivery processes
Support project closeout activities including final documentation, punch-list completion, and client turnover
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline preferred
10+ years of Project Management experience with a General Contractor
Experience managing commercial, public works, infrastructure, heavy civil, or design-build construction projects
Proven ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and project teams
Strong understanding of scheduling, budgeting, project controls, contract administration, and risk management
Experience negotiating subcontract agreements and owner change orders
Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and client relationship skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat, Procore, project management software, and related construction technologies
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while balancing competing project priorities
