Role: Senior Scrum Master

Experience: 10+ years overall, including 5+ years in Scrum Master / Agile delivery roles

Role Summary

The Senior Scrum Master will lead Agile delivery across multiple cross-functional teams and drive consistent adoption of Agile/Scrum practices. The role is responsible for facilitating Agile ceremonies, removing complex impediments, managing cross-team dependencies, coaching teams and stakeholders, and ensuring predictable delivery aligned with program objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Scrum activities across multiple Agile teams/workstreams.
• Facilitate Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Coach Product Owners, engineering teams, and stakeholders on Agile/Scrum principles and best practices.
• Drive team maturity, self-organization, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Identify and resolve complex risks, blockers, dependencies, and delivery impediments.
• Facilitate Scrum-of-Scrums and coordinate dependencies across development, QA, DevOps, architecture, security, and cloud teams.
• Partner with Product Owners to ensure backlog readiness, prioritization, and alignment with business objectives.
• Track and analyze Agile metrics such as velocity, burndown/burnup, cycle time, lead time, throughput, and sprint predictability.
• Provide delivery status, risks, dependencies, and escalation updates to senior stakeholders and program leadership.
• Support release planning, PI/program planning, and coordination of major milestones.
• Mentor junior Scrum Masters and help establish consistent Agile practices across teams.
• Drive improvement in engineering delivery practices, including CI/CD, DevOps, automated testing, and release management.
• Manage Agile delivery using Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or similar tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT/software delivery experience.
• 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Senior Scrum Master, or Agile Delivery Lead.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, Agile, and SDLC.
• Experience managing multiple Agile teams and complex cross-team dependencies.
• Strong understanding of Agile metrics and delivery governance.
• Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, coaching, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Experience working with distributed onsite/offshore teams.
• Working knowledge of cloud, DevOps, CI/CD, application development, testing, and release processes.
• Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or equivalent Agile delivery tools.
• CSM, PSM II, SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), SAFe Advanced Scrum Master (SASM), or equivalent certification preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Application modernization and AWS/Azure cloud transformation programs.
• Large-scale enterprise application migration/remediation programs.
• Experience in SAFe or other scaled Agile environments.
• Managing programs involving Java, .NET, Python, APIs, microservices, cloud, DevOps, and test automation.
