Senior Project Manager, Wet Utilities (Sewer, Water, Storm Drain)
Boudreau Pipeline | Corona, CA | Full time | $130,000 to $160,000 per year
You've run sewer, water, and storm drain jobs and know how a project is won or lost in the trench: scope, subs, change orders, and cash flow. Now you're ready to lead the largest, most complex work a wet utility contractor takes on, and to coach the PMs who run it with you.
Boudreau Pipeline is a Southern California underground utility contractor based in Corona. We install sewer, water, and storm drain systems and handle SUE work, for private developers and public agencies alike. We're hiring a Senior Project Manager (Project Manager III) to lead our most complex, high-risk, high-value projects. You'll work directly with Executive Leadership, Estimating, Accounting, Operations, and our Superintendents.
What you'll do
- Lead multiple large, complex wet utility projects at once, owning budgets, master schedules, forecasts, and cash flow.
- Be the primary escalation point on major jobs and the company's lead contact for owners, general contractors, and agencies.
- Partner with Superintendents to keep crews productive, safe, and focused on quality.
- Run subcontractor procurement, scope alignment, contract negotiation, and performance management.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, contract administration, and disputes.
- Work with Estimating on bid reviews, preconstruction strategy, and a clean handoff to the field.
- Plan major material purchases and long-lead equipment, such as pipe, structures, and other supply items.
- Take projects through closeout, including financial reconciliation, warranty, and final turnover.
- Mentor and develop Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and project teams, and help set the best practices everyone uses.
- Support business development by building long-term client relationships.
What you bring
- 12 years of progressive construction, utilities, or civil project management experience.
- A track record managing multi-million-dollar underground utility, wet utility, or civil infrastructure projects.
- Experience leading Project Managers and large, multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong command of contract administration, job cost control, and financial forecasting.
- Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and claims mitigation skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and enterprise project management software.
- A valid California driver's license.
- A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent senior-level construction leadership experience counts.
The work environment
This is mainly an office role at our Corona headquarters, with regular visits to job sites. In the field, you'll follow Cal/OSHA safety standards and wear the right PPE.
