    External Team Management

    • Oversee and manage general contractors, architects, engineers, and consultants
    • Drive accountability across partners for scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety
    • Ensure clear roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations

    Preconstruction Strategy

    • Partner with design teams and GCs to validate budgets, schedules, and constructability
    • Lead Target Value Design

    Financial Oversight

    • Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and capital approvals
    • Ensure cost transparency, market competitiveness, and value for spend
    • Review and approve change orders, invoices, and financial reporting from partners

    Schedule & Delivery Management

    • Establish master project schedules and key milestones
    • Monitor progress and proactively address risks to schedule and delivery
    • Implement rigorous quality control measures to ensure all construction work meets Starbucks standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Ensure readiness for turnover, occupancy, and operations

    Risk Management & Compliance

    • Identify and mitigate project risks (financial, schedule, operational, reputational)
    • Ensure compliance with corporate standards, permitting, and regulatory requirements
    • Manage contracts, claims, and issue resolution from an owner's perspective

    Stakeholder Alignment

    • Partner with internal stakeholders (Real Estate, Workplace Strategy, Design, Sourcing, Finance) to align project goals and deliver exceptional results.
    • Drive clear, concise communication and decision-making
    • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Extensive knowledge of design and construction principles, practices and methodologies.
    • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply complex project documents, including agreements, contracts, leases, work letters, drawings and specifications.
    • Deep understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
    • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, Architecture, or related field.
    • 7+ years of experience managing TI projects for a top-tier General Contractor

    About Company

Every day, we go to work hoping to do two things: share great coffee with our friends and help make the world a little better. It was true when the first Starbucks opened in 1971, and it’s just as true today.

Back then, the company was a single store in Seattle’s historic Pike Place Market. From just a narrow storefront, Starbucks offered some of the world’s finest fresh-roasted whole bean coffees. The name, inspired by Moby Dick, evoked the romance of the high seas and the seafaring tradition of the early coffee traders.

In 1981, Howard Schultz (Starbucks chairman and chief executive officer) had first walked into a Starbucks store. From his first cup of Sumatra, Howard was drawn into Starbucks and joined a year later.

In 1983, Howard traveled to Italy and became captivated with Italian coffee bars and the romance of the coffee experience. He had a vision to bring the Italian coffeehouse tradition back to the United States. A place for conversation and a sense of community. A third place between work and home. He left Starbucks for a short period of time to start his own Il Giornale coffeehouses and returned in August 1987 to purchase Starbucks with the help of local investors.

From the beginning, Starbucks set out to be a different kind of company. One that not only celebrated coffee and the rich tradition, but that also brought a feeling of connection.
