Job Description
The Senior Project Manager will oversee multiple municipal and public-sector construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, working closely with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal construction teams. Responsibilities include:
- Lead municipal, civic, public works, and capital improvement construction projects throughout Chicagoland
- Manage project budgets, schedules, cost forecasts, procurement, and overall project performance
- Lead project teams including Superintendents, Project Engineers, subcontractors, architects, and engineers
- Develop and maintain relationships with municipalities, public agencies, owners, and design professionals
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, buyout, procurement, and contract administration
- Monitor project financial performance, billing, forecasting, and profitability
- Lead owner meetings and provide regular project updates
- Support preconstruction, estimating, and business development efforts
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
- Oversee project closeout, punch lists, warranty, and turnover

The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
- 7+ years of Project Management experience with a General Contractor
- Strong experience managing municipal, public-sector, civic, government, or institutional construction projects
- Experience with public bid work, JOC, IDOT, park districts, municipalities, or other public agencies highly preferred
- Strong understanding of construction scheduling, budgeting, estimating, procurement, and cost control
- Proven ability to lead multiple construction projects and project teams
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar construction software
- Chicago/Chicagoland construction experience strongly preferred
