Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Project Engineer. This role is responsible for managing complex geotechnical and construction materials testing projects from proposal through completion, while supporting staff development, client relationships, and technical excellence. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, technical expertise in geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing.
This position offers a combination of office, field, and client-facing responsibilities supporting commercial, transportation, residential, industrial, and municipal projects.
Responsibilities
Field & Construction Oversight
Support field staff performing:
Soil density testing
Concrete sampling and testing
Asphalt testing and inspection
Structural observations
Deep foundation inspections
Earthwork and site preparation monitoring
Conduct site visits and attend project meetings to monitor project progress and quality control.
Assist with troubleshooting construction challenges and provide timely engineering solutions.

Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Civil, Construction, or Geotechnical Engineering (Masters preferred) 10+ years of engineering experience with increasing responsibility. Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required Demonstrated expertise in engineering design, project management, and client interaction. Proficiency in technical software and tools used in the engineering discipline Excellent leadership, communication, and business acumen. Ability to manage multiple projects and teams across locations.
Preferred Qualifications
Travel Requirements
? This position requires moderate travel, approximately up to 40% of the time, in support of business
objectives and client engagements. Travel may be both scheduled and on short notice, depending on
project needs. Destinations typically include job sites, field locations, or regional offices, where work may
be conducted in outdoor or operational environments. Adherence to all company safety protocols and
use of PPE is required during travel and on-site work.
