Project Control Analyst
Location: Hybrid — 2 days in Reston office
A growing government contracting organization is seeking a Project Control Analyst to join its Finance team. This role will support project setup, financial analysis, forecasting, billing, revenue recognition, and pricing across a portfolio of government contracts.
Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain projects within Deltek Costpoint, including WBS, funding, billing, revenue, labor categories, rates, and workforce.
- Partner with Contracts, Operations, Finance, and Program Management to ensure accurate project structures and compliance with contractual and federal requirements.
- Monitor project costs, labor, funding, budgets, and charge codes; identify and explain variances.
- Support revenue recognition, billing reviews, month-end close, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and performance reporting to project and senior leadership.
- Support annual planning and forecasting activities.
- Assist with government cost/price proposals, including pricing models, margin analysis, what-if scenarios, and leadership presentations.
- Collaborate across Capture, Contracts, Finance, Operations, and Proposal teams to develop accurate and competitive pricing.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on Deltek Costpoint experience
- 3+ years of project controls, project accounting, or project setup experience
- Advanced Excel skills
- 5+ years supporting a government contracting environment
- 2+ years of pricing, cost proposal, or financial modeling experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
Preferred: 5+ years of Costpoint, project controls, and/or pricing experience, with a strong understanding of government contracting requirements.
