Job Details

As a Project Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of our construction projects. You will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with contractual requirements. Your responsibilities will include:

Preparing and processing monthly invoices for multiple projects.
Managing sub-contractor payment requests and processing accounts payable.
Entering contracts and adjustments into the accounting system.
Preparing and executing change orders and waivers of liens.
Conducting collection calls on past-due invoices.
Generating financial reports and maintaining accurate project records.
Collaborating with project teams to set up projects in all systems per owner and company requirements.
Participating in project kick-off meetings and understanding project contracts and billing terms.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project accounting, preferably in the construction industry.
Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage 300, Viewpoint, or similar.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
