Location: Downey, CA 90242
Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Assignment type: Temporary - 12 months w/ high chance of extension or hire
Pay rate: $40-$45/hour

Description:

• Lead or support complex IT application design, development, testing, implementation, and support.
• Plan, configure, test, implement, and manage IT systems environments.
• Analyze requirements and design system/application architecture and prototypes.
• Develop, debug, maintain, and document code and applications.
• Design user interfaces, test applications, integrate hardware/software, and ensure quality and security.
• Evaluate new application and systems technologies and their impact on IT environments.
• Analyze system requirements, configure operating systems, integrate components, and optimize system performance.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of application development, operating systems, software design, databases, systems engineering, optimization, and IT infrastructure.
• Strong communication, reporting, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• 7+ years of experience in electronic data processing systems study, design, and programming.
• 4+ years of experience in a lead capacity.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT or Engineering; equivalent qualifying experience may substitute year-for-year.

Additional Requirement:

• 7+ years of IMS/DB2/COBOL/CICS programming experience in a mainframe environment.
