Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager to manage key customer accounts and programs within a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment.
This is a highly customer-facing position responsible for the financial, operational, and commercial performance of assigned programs. The Senior Program Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for customers while working closely with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing, and senior leadership.
The ideal candidate will have extensive contract manufacturing or Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) experience, strong customer relationships, and experience negotiating customer agreements, including Master Service Agreements (MSAs).
We are looking for a senior-level Program Manager who can help manage and grow existing business while also bringing strong industry relationships and customer contacts.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary customer contact for assigned accounts and programs
- Manage the financial, operational, and commercial performance of customer programs
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to support retention and business growth
- Represent customer requirements internally across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Operations, and senior management
- Lead negotiations and administration of customer contracts, including MSAs
- Identify opportunities for organic revenue and account growth
- Monitor program performance including quality, on-time delivery, inventory, ECO management, cost, and schedule
- Establish program milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules
- Identify program risks and drive issues through resolution
- Develop reporting and control systems to measure program progress and identify potential problems
- Coordinate activities across Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Logistics, and administrative functions
- Maintain a minimum 12-month rolling customer forecast
- Manage material requirements, long-lead purchases, and customer inventory exposure
- Prepare and lead Quarterly Business Reviews with customers
- Review program costs, material disposition, cost variances, and additional customer requirements
- Coordinate new quotations with Sourcing and Engineering
- Manage customer production schedules and delivery commitments
- Address Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), temporary deviations, timing changes, and associated costs
- Reconcile customer and program liabilities including tooling, NRE, and PPV
- Participate in production, shortage, and other critical operational meetings
- Identify opportunities to improve cost, quality, lead time, and overall customer performance
- Support and mentor other Program Managers when required
Qualifications
- 8+ years of combined experience in Program Management, Business Management, Engineering, Operations, and/or Procurement
- Strong experience within contract manufacturing or Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS)
- Senior-level customer/account management experience
- Experience negotiating contracts and Master Service Agreements (MSAs)
- Demonstrated ability to manage the financial and operational performance of major customer programs
- Strong existing industry relationships and customer contacts highly desirable
- Experience identifying and developing opportunities to grow customer accounts
- Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems
- Ability to interpret multi-level Bills of Material and technical drawings
- Experience with configuration management systems
- Understanding of GAAP and program financial performance
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple complex programs and priorities
- Medical device or other regulated manufacturing industry experience preferred
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or related discipline
- 8+ years of relevant industry experience
- Contract manufacturing/EMS experience strongly preferred
- Medical device or regulated manufacturing experience is a plus
- CPIM or PMP certification is a plus but not required
Computer Skills
- ERP/MRP systems
- Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
- Configuration Management Systems
- Experience with BaaN or similar ERP systems preferred
