Amazon"s Last Mile In-Life Services team is looking for a Senior Program Manager, Retrofit Execution to own the end-to-end operational execution of large-scale vehicle retrofit campaigns across North America. This role is the hands-on execution engine for retrofit programs ranging from $10M$50M, turning approved plans into completed installations across hundreds of delivery stations with zero disruption to daily delivery operations.

You will manage the full installation lifecycle from VIN identification and parts logistics through on-site night-shift installations, vendor coordination, completion reporting, invoice validation, and campaign closeout. You will work across fleet systems, coordinate with Delivery Service Partners (DSPs), Regional Fleet Managers (RFMs), and multiple installation vendors to keep campaigns on schedule, on budget, and at quality. This is an operationally intensive role that requires comfort with ambiguity, strong vendor management instincts, and the ability to drive execution at scale in a fast-moving logistics environment.

Travel: Up to 25% (delivery station site visits, vendor oversight, pilot installations)

Key job responsibilities

Own the live installation schedule across vendors, delivery stations, and regions adjusting in real time for VIN availability, vendor capacity, and site constraints while ensuring zero disruption to daytime delivery operations

Manage daily VIN tracking and reconciliation across branded fleet and Last Mile Rental systems; own parts receiving, site storage, and vehicle availability at delivery stations

Coordinate multi-vendor installation operations including scheduling, on-site field oversight, completion reporting, and go-back/rework resolution

Validate vendor invoices against confirmed completion data; track labor and material costs against $10M$50M campaign budgets

Manage daily DS/DSP communication across multiple channels to confirm vehicle availability and resolve scheduling conflicts

Build network rollout plans quantities, locations, and sequencing and own PO submissions, workback plans, and procurement alignment

Drive campaign closeout including inventory reconciliation, maintenance and repair handoff, warranty documentation, and lessons learned

Provide weekly dashboard updates on completion status, cost performance, and quality metrics to leadership

A day in the life

This role will interact with DSPs, RFMs, product owners, and vendors nearly daily to ensure success, control cost and quality.

Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
