Minimum Qualifications
Must possess a State of Florida Professional Land Surveyor & Mapper license. A minimum of four years of experience in land surveying is required. Must possess a Driver license.
Recruitment Notes
The Senior Professional Land Surveyor coordinates and performs the technical and legal review of final plats, tentative plats, waivers, and other land development documents submitted within Miami-Dade County, including municipalities. This position reviews plats for compliance with Chapter 28 of the Miami-Dade County Code, Chapter 177 of the Florida Statutes, and applicable professional surveying standards; coordinates the processing of final plats for approval by the Board of County Commissioners and municipal governing bodies; and ensures all requirements are satisfied prior to recordation in the public records. Additional responsibilities entail providing technical guidance to staff, developers, engineers, land surveyors, attorneys, municipalities, and other stakeholders; assisting with complex platting and surveying matters; and supporting the supervision and coordination of staff involved in plat review and processing.
