    Minimum Qualifications

    Must possess a State of Florida Professional Engineer license. A minimum of four to seven years of professional civil engineering experience is required.

    Recruitment Notes

    This position resides in the Highway Engineering Division of the Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW). Employees in this position supervises major functions of roadway and drainage design, construction plans, cost estimates, consultant services negotiations and award, and contract documents to build / renovate facilities, infrastructure, and roadway related improvements. Participate in the bidding process for construction projects; resolves engineering design problems and review / preparation of contract documents. Partake in the construction phase approving shop-drawings and resolving design conflicts found during construction.

    The ideal candidate will have experience using technical judgment to evaluate and make decisions on engineering documents and perform well under pressure while maintaining high-quality results. In addition to the base salary advertised, employees are also entitled to a monetary pay supplement of $480.75 bi-weekly (Annual Value: $12,500) for being Professional Engineers.
