Summary The Senior Production and Materials Planner will work closely with manufacturing partners (MPs) on production capacity and materials planning for both sustaining and new products, escalating capacity and materials issues and working with MPs to resolve them in time. They will be responsible for materials assurance of supply and balancing shared components across MPs. Will monitor and manage component buys to minimize excess and obsolescence and create/execute strategies to reduce excess and obsolete materials. Responsible for maintaining and improving key metrics. Must be able to work across multiple internal departments to achieve common goals. Must be able to build strong relationships with manufacturing partners.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • End-to-End materials management across the value chain.
  • Establish and influence material-related strategies with the product commodity and external partners.
  • Align manufacturing partner materials related strategies and processes as applicable to last time buys and material disposition.
  • Partner with cross-functional team to ensure consistent approaches and processes.
  • Overall leadership and accountability of the manufacturing operations functions across the product lifecycle.
  • Responsible for day-to-day materials and factory delivery functions for manufacturing operations.

Critical responsibilities include:

  • Daily production control activities to achieve high levels of conformance to specific customer demand and delivery.
  • Inventory management to achieve corporate targets.
  • Factory capacity management.
  • Tooling budget and reporting.
  • Managing excess and obsolete materials and reporting to management on the status.
  • Enhances business process and information integration to realize speed, visibility, and collaboration within the organization and partners.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of supply chain capabilities including product data management, supply planning, production planning, direct procurement, contract manufacturing, distribution, and warehouse management.
  • Manage and monitor key partner metrics management processes, including dashboards and scorecards, to ensure bi-directional feedback and enable mutual success.
  • Track Supply KPIs and manage monthly and quarterly reviews between Manufacturing Partners and Turtle Beach to demonstrate partner performance.
  • Build positive relationships with Manufacturing Partners - link in to the overall Manufacturing Partners Supply Chain to enable a high-performance team.
  • Manage and build robust processes, capabilities, and standards across the operations team and across Turtle Beach.
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

Education

  • Bachelor of Science Degree (Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Manufacturing Technology)

Experience

  • 3~5 years Supply Chain and/or Cross Functional Program Management Experience.

Skills

  • CPM
  • CPIM
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification (a plus)
  • Ability to speak fluent Mandarin is a plus
  • Strong demonstrated business acumen and strategic/tactical business judgment.
  • In-depth working knowledge of supply chain management best practices and systems.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, oral, presentation required).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to utilize data/analyses to influence change.
  • Demonstrated skill in directing resources including the ability to plan and coordinate the activities of assigned organizations and programs.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Responsive to customer and business requests.
  • Ability to listen, diagnose, and work in a team environment to create solutions.
  • Effective team building and negotiation skills with an ability to influence stakeholders with competing interests.
  • Experienced in managing within an outsourced supply chain model.
  • Knowledgeable in all facets of contract manufacturing, supplier management, and program management activities related to manufacturing operations.
  • Supplier/Partner management background with demonstrated experience driving collective business success.
  • Proven record of driving change and growing partner capabilities through effective goal setting and metrics management.
  • Strong team player who operates with high levels of integrity, trust, and respect for the individual.
  • High energy & enthusiasm to establish new approaches to supply chain operations and program management.
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding listening and process diagnosing skillsets and an ability to create ethical and effective solutions in a team environment.
