    Description

Third-party sellers account for about 60% of units sold in Amazon"s stores. New Product Success helps them identify, launch, and scale new products, and helps customers discover them. Our 100+ person organization builds ML and AI powered products and experiences across the entire new product launch journey - from identifying high-potential opportunities, to guiding sellers toward the right products, to accelerating discovery and conversion in the critical early weeks after launch for all new products launched on Amazon across the world.

You"ll be the lead product marketing manager for all of New Product Success - setting marketing strategy across a multi-product portfolio that spans the full seller launch journey. You"ll define the narrative, shape annual plans, set marketing goals and metrics, build partnerships inside and outside Amazon, and drive the overall GTM approach.

In addition to leading strategy, you"ll go hands-on as the PMM for New Product Accelerator, our post-launch AI powered experience that helps sellers scale new products through their most critical growth window. The role is both strategic and operational - you"ll influence Directors and VPs on where to invest, and then ship the work yourself. For the right person, it"s a chance to define how product marketing works in a high-growth, AI-driven product organization.

We are looking for a marketer who thinks like a single-threaded product leader. You can set strategy for an entire product organization and then go deep on positioning for a single product - in the same week. You"re as comfortable analyzing seller sentiment data across cohorts as you are crafting a mainstage narrative that earns conviction in large conferences. You bring structure to ambiguity, judge success by whether the message landed rather than whether it shipped, and make a complex product suite feel simple and essential. You build mechanisms, not just campaigns, and you see marketing as a system that drives adoption, not just awareness. If you want to shape how sellers think about launching products on Amazon, this is the role.

    Key job responsibilities

    1. Set marketing strategy for New Product Success end to end. Define the narrative, goals, metrics, and GTM approach across the full product portfolio.

    2. Shape annual marketing plans, and ensure every product launch has clear positioning, target segments, and success measures.

    3. Lead partnerships inside and outside Amazon. Build relationships with ecosystem partners, industry publications, and internal stakeholders that extend New Product Success"s reach and credibility with sellers.

    4. Own the seller satisfaction signal. Design and run the measurement framework for seller sentiment across the product suite, and turn insights into inputs for roadmap decisions.

    5. Own the New Product Success narrative at Amazon Accelerate, our flagship global conference. Lead track strategy, content, mainstage and breakout messaging, multi-VP stakeholder alignment, speaker preparation, and claims review.

    6. Own product marketing for New Product Accelerator. Go hands-on as the PMM for our post-launch experience - positioning, messaging, go-to-market, and full-funnel adoption from seller awareness through activation and sustained usage.

    7. Close the loop between marketing and product. Make sure feedback from surveys, campaigns, events, and partners reaches product teams as actionable input, not just data.

    8. Build mechanisms that scale. Create repeatable processes for launch planning, messaging, campaign execution, and post-launch measurement that raise the bar across the PMM team.

    9. Communicate impact to senior leadership. Own marketing performance in business reviews, tie awareness and satisfaction to business outcomes, and build the narrative that earns investment.

    About Company

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

    It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

    Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
