Senior Product Manager

Location: Mt. Laurel, NJ

Onsite Flexibility: Remote (East Coast hours)

Contract Details

  • Position Type: Contract
  • Contract Duration: 14 months (extension possible; conversion to permanent possible)
  • Pay Rate: $80.00 $100.00 / Hour (USD)
  • Shift / Schedule: Monday Friday, core business hours; overtime as needed
  • Travel Requirements: Limited within the U.S. (TBC)

Job Summary

The Senior Product Manager (Senior Product Group Manager) oversees, leads, and provides strategic direction to a team of product management professionals in developing and implementing the Bank's products, services, programs, and projects including features, benefits, and characteristics that meet customer needs. The Senior Product Group Manager is responsible for formulating strategy, policy, and overall direction of the identified product or suite of products portfolio. This role is accountable for building a strong talent pipeline within the team.

This candidate will lead an Agile Pod consisting of Business and Technical resources. They will be responsible for the agile delivery of prioritized, committed content ensuring the Pod remains on track. Ongoing engagement with their Leadership Team is required, and prompt escalation of risks and blockers are expected.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for management of the overall team, providing both leadership and guidance
  • Set targets and objectives for the team, and deliver results
  • Lead a high-performing team; provide on-going feedback and performance reviews, coach and develop employees, and ensure performance management activities are undertaken and completed for all employees
  • Support an environment where the team freely escalates business challenges; facilitate change through positive reinforcement of milestones and successes
  • Oversee and lead a highly complex and diverse product function for an area of significant complexity or scope while growing talent, developing skills and capabilities to achieve career goals, support project/initiative success, and achieve business results

Required Skills

  • Product Owner experience (5 years)
  • Salesforce / Ncino platform experience (5 years)
  • Agile POD management (5 years)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Cross-POD coordination experience (beneficial team hosts 2 3 cross-POD sessions per month across 12 13 pods spanning Salesforce and Ncino)
  • Proficiency with JIRA and Confluence to manage PODs
  • Commercial banking / financial institution expertise
  • Experience within an Agile delivery environment

Preferred Skills

  • Commercial banking background within an Agile delivery environment (ideally)

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required

Required Experience

  • 10 years of overall professional experience
  • 5 years as a Product Owner
  • 5 years with Salesforce / Ncino platforms
  • 5 years of Agile POD management
  • Experience leading combined business and technical teams to deliver changes
  • Experience delivering in every-other-month release cycles and Quarterly PI Sessions preferred

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

  • Fully remote position working East Coast hours
  • Approximately 4 hours per day in meetings
  • All interactions are internal
  • Contractor will have access to customer data
  • No rotation required
  • Training period: 60 days
