Overview
The Senior Product Manager supports the development and execution of product management across Retail and Business Banking. Reporting to the Senior Director, Product Strategy & Customer Insights, this role works closely with business lines and cross-functional partners to support the full product lifecycle, including product roadmap development, identifying growth opportunities, supporting strategic pricing discussions, and enhancing existing products and services. The role also helps promote alignment across lines of business to support a consistent and customer-focused product experience across United Community.
This position serves as a strategic and collaborative partner focused on strengthening product management capabilities and improving coordination across teams. The role also helps ensure United Community's products remain competitive, customer-focused, and effectively managed throughout the product lifecycle in alignment with risk and compliance expectations.
What You'll Do
Requirements For Success
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in product management, product strategy, or a related role within financial services.
Required Skills:
Ability to analyze market trends, competitive positioning, customer behaviors, and product performance to develop strategic recommendations.
Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship management skills with the ability to work effectively across business lines and functional teams.
Ability to balance strategic thinking with execution and operational coordination.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives simultaneously.
Experience supporting cross-functional initiatives and influencing without direct authority.
Preferred Skills:
Understanding of risk, compliance, and governance considerations associated with banking products and services
Familiarity with banking systems, digital banking platforms, and product delivery processes within a financial institution.
Experience with product lifecycle management, product roadmaps, and portfolio management.
Experience conducting competitive intelligence and market research to inform product strategy.
Familiarity with strategic pricing concepts, product profitability, or financial performance analysis.
Experience using customer research, Voice of the Customer insights, or analytics to support product decisions.
Conditions of Employment
This is a full-time position that requires schedule flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
This position requires up to 10% travel.
