Description
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in engineering (Mechanical, Materials, Manufacturing, or related discipline)
6 or more years of experience in advanced manufacturing, process engineering, or related technical fields
Direct experience with metal additive manufacturing, laser powder bed fusion (LPBF), or precision manufacturing
2 or more years of experience directly managing or leading engineers, including hiring and performance management
Working knowledge of metrology methods, including optical microscopy, 3D profilometry, and digital radiography
Demonstrated skill in translating hands-on engineering problems into team priorities, roadmaps, and resourcing decisions
Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills with experience in statistical experimental design
Experience with statistical software such as JMP is highly desirable
Experience with Python or JSL scripting and CAD software like Solidworks is a plus
Responsibilities
Lead, hire, mentor, and develop a team of Process Engineers, Technicians, and Metrology Lab personnel
Own end-to-end sustaining process engineering, including capital equipment fleet qualification, system health monitoring, and production troubleshooting
Set and enforce technical standards for experimental design, statistical rigor, and data-driven decision making across build process validations
Manage metrology lab operations, oversight of equipment, acceptance criteria, and procedure audits to ensure measurement accuracy
