Job Description

Develop and optimize injection molding processes for both new and existing tooling using scientific molding principles. Lead mold sampling, process development, validation activities, and production launches. Troubleshoot molding processes, tooling, materials, automation systems, and manufacturing equipment. Conduct DOE studies, process validations, capability studies, and data analysis to improve operational performance. Partner with Quality, Operations, Tooling, and Engineering teams to improve quality, cycle times, scrap rates, and overall efficiency. Mentor Process Technicians and Operations personnel while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Process Engineer should have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Plastics, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or a related field
  • 5-8+ years of plastics manufacturing experience with strong injection molding expertise
  • Experience developing, documenting, optimizing, and troubleshooting injection molding processes
  • Strong knowledge of scientific molding, process validation, mold sampling, tooling, resins, and process controls
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, DOE, SPC, PFMEA, and root cause analysis methodologies
  • Experience working within regulated manufacturing environments such as medical device, defense, or other quality-driven industries
