Supporting the world's bravest.Job SummaryAs a Senior Process Engineer, the successful candidate will be responsible for process development, integration, and sustaining activities for infrared wafer-level vacuum packaging. This role involves maintaining yields, managing material flow, process documentation, and troubleshooting fabrication processes internal to DRS as well as those of external suppliers. The applicant should have experience or knowledge in several of the following areas: semiconductor fabrication processes such as etching and cleaning, photolithography, automated optical inspection, metallization, plating, coatings, mechanical and optical dimensional measurement, interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings, and familiarity with motion control & vision systems.Job ResponsibilitiesCoordinate new product introduction or process development projects both internally and externallyProvide timely status updates on all project milestones to stakeholdersTroubleshoot and diagnose technical problems, and implement corrective actions (RCCA) as neededMonitor and report on process or product yields, trends, and test resultsSpecify and evaluate supplier components, subsystems and servicesStand up processes for product development and productionDesign, develop, analyze, document and support testing of products and equipment, and sustaining activities for fabrication and packaging operationsEvaluate and recommend design approaches to meet production requirements for new or improved products or processesQualificationsBachelors Degree in an applicable engineering field with 5+ years applicable engineering experience (or equivalent combination of education/training and experience)Able to work in Class 100 Clean Room for extended periods of timeKnowledge of solvent clean and wet etch practicesExperience with hermetic microelectronics packagingExperience with statistical process control (SPC) and statistical analysisU.S. Citizenship required.
