QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
2+ years of experience in manufacturing or industrial process engineering.
Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Desire to grow into a leadership role.
Experience with process mapping, time studies, and workflow analysis.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Experience with ERP and manufacturing execution systems (MES) is preferred.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
Leadership experience (lead, supervisor, manager, etc.)
Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other CAD software.
Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and quality management systems.
Experience with automation, robotics, or PLC-controlled manufacturing systems.
Familiarity with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or other industry quality standards.

Physical Requirements

Ability to walk and stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.
Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
Ability to work in production areas requiring personal protective equipment (PPE).

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities

Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for increased efficiency, reduced waste, and improved product quality.
Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes, equipment, and workflows.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other process improvement methodologies.
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process documentation.
Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Monitor process performance using KPIs and statistical analysis to ensure production goals are met.
Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams to improve operational performance.
Evaluate and recommend capital equipment, tooling, and automation solutions.
Support new product introductions by developing robust manufacturing processes.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Train production personnel on new processes, equipment, and best practices.
Participate in plant layout planning and workflow optimization projects.
