Job Summary

We are seeking experienced Senior/Principal Systems Engineers to support the Long Range Radar (LRR), Ground-Based Radar (GBR), and missile defense sensor systems organization.

The Systems Engineering team is responsible for concept development, system architecture, requirements development and flow-down, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), modeling and simulation, algorithm development, systems analysis, integration, test, and evaluation of advanced radar and missile defense systems.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with radar systems, MBSE/Cameo, MATLAB, system architecture, requirements engineering, algorithm development, and radar performance analysis.

• Lead and support system architecture and requirements development for Ground-Based Radar and Long Range Radar systems.
• Define, analyze, document, and maintain system-level functional and performance requirements.
• Perform requirements analysis, benchmarking, verification, and validation.
• Develop and maintain system architectures and architectural frameworks.
• Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles and tools such as Cameo.
• Develop and analyze system models, algorithms, test vectors, and evaluation tools.
• Use MATLAB, including object-oriented programming, for algorithm development, modeling, simulation, and performance analysis.
• Analyze radar system performance, including detection, discrimination, tracking, and signal-processing algorithms.
• Develop test scenarios, verification approaches, and system-level evaluation methods.
• Collaborate with software, integration, and test engineers throughout the development lifecycle.
• Support system integration, testing, verification, and validation activities.
• Develop and maintain engineering processes, methods, tools, and technical documentation.
• Participate in technical reviews and customer engagements.
• Present technical findings and recommendations to engineering leadership and stakeholders.
• Work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
• Lead technical solutions for complex customer and program requirements.

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or related STEM discipline.
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience for Senior level.
• 8+ years for Principal level.
• 10+ years for Senior Principal level.
• Direct experience with radar, missile defense, sensor systems, or related defense systems.
• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and/or Cameo.
• Strong MATLAB experience, including object-oriented programming.
• Experience with system modeling, algorithm development, test vector development, or radar performance analysis.
• Experience with system architecture and requirements development.
• Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent technical writing, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Active and transferable Secret U.S. government security clearance required prior to start.
• U.S. Citizenship required.

• Advanced STEM degree.
• Experience with Ground-Based Radar (GBR) or Long Range Radar (LRR).
• Experience with missile defense / integrated air and missile defense (IAMD) systems.
• Knowledge of radar concepts including:
  • Detection
  • Discrimination
  • Tracking
  • Signal processing
  • Radar performance analysis
• Experience coding system models, algorithms, test vectors, and evaluation tools.
• Experience with Python, C, C++, Java, or DOORS.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum, JIRA, and Confluence.
• Experience with customer-facing technical engagements.
• Experience leading technical solutions and engineering activities.
