Job Description

The Sr. Preconstruction Manager will work alongside the VP of Precon to:

  • Lead all preconstruction activities including strategic planning, budgeting, estimating, scheduling, and proposal development
  • Manage internal teams and external consultants to produce comprehensive scope documents, conceptual budgets, detailed estimates, alternates, and schedules
  • Perform constructability reviews and collaborate with design teams to ensure cost-effective, buildable solutions
  • Develop cost models, value engineering options, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies
  • Prepare and maintain preconstruction schedules aligned with client milestones and pursuit timelines
  • Lead subcontractor outreach and procurement in partnership with operations teams
  • Participate in client presentations, interviews, and proposal meetings to secure new work

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum of 5-8 years of preconstruction experience within the large industrial construction industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or Mechanical/Electrical/Civil Engineering preferred.
  • Strong understanding of cost estimation, scheduling, and project planning.
  • Proficiency with Destini Estimating software.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), Bluebeam, and various project management tools (Destini software is a big plus).
  • Willingness and ability to travel to multiple job sites as needed.
