    Responsibilities

    The Senior Preconstruction Manager - Electrical is an electrical subject-matter expert who serves as a resource for Brasfield & Gorrie's preconstruction departments across all our regions. This role will support precon managers across projects by providing electrical specific expertise, conceptual budgeting guidance, procurement strategy, vendor relationship knowledge, and training. Responsibilities and Essential Duties include the following:

    Serve as the preconstruction departments internal electrical subject-matter expert, providing support on active pursuits and projects

    Develop conceptual and schematic-level electrical budgets to support early pursuit strategy, feasibility studies, and owner/design team conversations

    Partner with lead preconstruction managers to validate electrical scope, pricing assumptions, and risk areas on complex or large, high-risk projects

    Help implement and refine procurement strategies, including trade packaging, early release packages, design-assist, RFP Development and bid leveling support

    Leverage prior experience to advise on electrical market conditions, production rates, vendor capabilities, and buyout strategy

    Maintain and grow relationships with electrical trade partners and vendors to support market intelligence and procurement decisions company-wide

    Develop, teach, and deliver internal training on electrical systems, estimating best practices, and conceptual budgeting for the broader preconstruction team

    Capture, standardize, and maintain historical electrical cost data, production rates, and benchmarking metrics from completed projects to improve the accuracy of future conceptual estimates

    Participate in project reviews, estimate reviews, and risk assessment meetings as a electrical advisor

    Stay current on electrical costs, systems, codes, technologies, and market trends

    Travel may be necessary depending on project and regional support needs

    Education - Skills - Knowledge - Qualifications & Experience

    Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical estimating, subcontracting, or electrical preconstruction, ideally including experience working for an electrical subcontractor or vendor

    Deep knowledge of electrical systems, installation methods, and production rates across electrical scopes

    Strong working knowledge of electrical vendor and subcontractor markets, with established relationships and clear vendor communication skills

    Demonstrated experience developing conceptual/schematic-level electrical budgets and estimates, particularly on large or complex projects

    Strong analytical skills with the ability to organize and maintain historical cost data and benchmarking metrics

    Proficiency with estimating and preconstruction software and Microsoft Office products

    Self-directed and comfortable operating as a department-wide resource rather than a single-project team member
