POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Senior Precon and Estimating Manager, your roles and responsibilities will include:

• Lead the overall collaborative preconstruction process and delivery.
• Develop comprehensive preconstruction deliverables, including competitive bids, negotiated proposals, cost estimates, analysis, and budgets.
• Prepare and execute project win strategies, including interviews and internal/external presentations of estimates and proposals.
• Oversee project teams and ensure successful completion of preconstruction activities.
• Manage relationships with key clients and design team contacts during the preconstruction phase.
• Perform estimating tasks as needed, including self-perform estimating.
• Develop conceptual budgets and maintain accurate project cost history.

QUALIFICATIONS

Most importantly, you need to be a passionate Senior Precon and Estimating Manager who enjoys his work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal Senior Precon and Estimating Manager would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Equivalent relevant experience may be considered in lieu of the required degree.
• 10+ years of construction estimating experience.
• People management experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction estimating, preconstruction processes, and project delivery.
• Strong proficiency with MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience with construction estimating software and technology.
• Ability to prepare quantity surveys and General Requirements estimates.
• Knowledge of construction management means and methods.
• Knowledge of field operations and specific construction trades and scopes of work.
• Knowledge of self-perform estimating and labor productivity.
• Knowledge of MBE, WBE, and SBA regulations.
• Ability to develop proficiency in Lens, Revit, and/or ASE software.
