SENIOR PRE-LITIGATION ATTORNEY: Personal Injury | Brentwood, Los Angeles

THE ROLE
You'll lead the investigation and negotiation of our higher-value pre-litigation cases. You'll decide where the evidence is, which additional parties and policies are in play, and how to prove liability, and you'll set that standard for the team. You'll also mentor the attorneys around you.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead liability investigations on high-value cases and direct the evidence plan
- Find additional insureds, additional defendants and other available coverage
- Gather and preserve the evidence that wins liability, with support from our investigators
- Negotiate with carriers, including policy-limit demands, and decide when a case should be filed
- Review other attorneys' investigations, demands and settlement strategy
- Mentor and coach junior pre-litigation attorneys
- Work with litigation so filed cases carry the right evidence and value
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Active California State Bar license, in good standing
- 7+ years of plaintiff-side personal injury experience, with a strong settlement record
- Proven ability to find coverage and build liability on complex cases
- Excellent writing, negotiation and judgment under deadlines
- Comfort mentoring attorneys and reviewing their work
- Nice to have: litigation or trial experience, team leadership, Spanish/English bilingual, Filevine
