    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 7 years of power electronics experience.
    • Master's degree (preferred) with a focus on Power Electronics and 4 years of relevant experience, or equivalent education/experience combination.
    • Expertise in power converter circuit/architecture analysis.
    • Proficiency in control loop implementation.
    • Hands-on experience with circuit simulation tools like PSIM and MATLAB.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead circuit-level design, simulation, and troubleshooting for power supply and inverter applications.
    • Manage projects involving a diverse range of applications, from low-power Point of Load supplies to high-power resonant converters.
    • Direct a small team on power electronics projects.
    • Read and interpret customer specifications, applying them to electronics design.
    • Utilize thermal design skills for component selection and thermal interface design.
    • Design circuits for electromagnetic interference and susceptibility attenuation.
    • Select, analyze, test, and document electronic components for new and existing products.
    • Develop and test prototype power electronics systems, including field support and customer visits as needed.
    • Stay updated on technology advancements through collaboration with CPES at Virginia Tech.
