Job Description
Experienced Senior Power Bi Report Developer with strong expertise in Google BigQuery and Google Cloud Storage (GCS). The ideal candidate will have 4 6 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, and reporting, with a proven ability to design scalable, high performance Power Bi dashboards and semantic models. This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, data engineers, and platform teams to deliver actionable insights and trusted analytics solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and Explores aligned to business requirements
Build and maintain data models, dimensions, measures, and views following best practices
Optimize BigQuery SQL for performance, cost efficiency, and scalability
Integrate data from BigQuery datasets and Google Cloud Storage (GCS) into Power BI
Collaborate with data engineering teams to define data models and ensure data quality
Translate complex business requirements into intuitive, user-friendly dashboards
Ensure data governance, security, and access control within Power BI
Perform performance tuning, query optimization, and dashboard usage analysis
Support ad hoc analysis and executive level reporting needs
Mentor junior developers and provide guidance on Looker and BI best practices
Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and architecture discussions
Document data models, dashboards, and reporting standards
Required Skills
Qualifications
4 6 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Reporting, or Data Analytics
4+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI development
Strong proficiency in Google BigQuery, including:
Complex SQL queries
Partitioning, clustering, and cost optimization
Experience working with Google Cloud Storage (GCS) as a data source
Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, star/snowflake schemas
Strong SQL expertise and ability to troubleshoot data discrepancies
Good exposure of
Looker
and
LookML.
Experience in migration of Looker to Power BI.
Experience designing dashboards for executive, operational, and analytical use cases
Knowledge of data security, row level access, and user permissions
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work independently and lead BI initiatives
Preferred / Nice to Have Skills
Experience with Power BI / Tableau or any reporting tool.
Experience with agile development methodologies
Exposure to data quality frameworks and monitoring tools
Prior experience in large scale or enterprise analytics environments
