This is a hybrid role with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of a company office based in New York City.

Reporting to the Director of Portfolio & Relationship Manager, the Vice President is the primary contact and is responsible for the overall relationship with Commercial Services clients. The incumbent interfaces directly with clients and as such is responsible for balancing the needs and expectations of the clients with policies, procedures and risk tolerances of Commercial Services. 

Responsibilities & Qualifications:

Duties & Responsibilities:
Sales - Originate and cultivate commercial factoring relationships positioning the Bank as the primary / lead bank. Delivers a full suite of commercial factoring as well as other products and services. Serve as the primary relationship management contact identifying client needs, working with internal industry verticals and product owners to structure customized solutions and ensure high quality service. Understand market, pricing and industry trends operating as a trusted advisor to clients.
Business Support – Supports the development, revision, and implementation of compliant and effective strategies, policies, standards, and procedures, as it relates to investment portfolios and relationship management. Advises on strategies to ensure risks are properly identified and portfolio composition is aligned with overall Bank balance sheet and appropriate for various economic environments. Monitors changes in the economy and macroeconomic environment and advises executive management on potential opportunities to enhance shareholder return.
Client Service - Foster collaborative partnerships that deliver value for clients, customers, prospects, and colleagues. Work collaboratively across the Bank delivering factoring and other commercial products and services. Leverage the Bank’s digital & technology platforms to deliver exceptional client service. In coordination with marketing, design and execute on targeted marketing efforts on “centers of influence” and client events. Have in-depth understanding of credit worthiness of clients and bank credit policies to be able to represent them in internal discussions.


Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Financial Services OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Financial Services

 

Preferred:

  • Experience in any of the following: factoring, auditing, banking, commercial lending, underwriting, financial analysis, credit analysis, collateral management 
  • Master's degree preferred but not required
  • 6 years of progressive portfolio management/underwriting experience with relevant experience in asset based lending/working capital with a focus on Retail, Apparel, Consumer Products preferred
  • Completion of bank/finance company credit training program preferred, but not required
Additional Information:

The base pay for this position is generally between $160,000 and $200,000. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
