In this position the Senior Policy Manager will support the work of government affairs at the local state and federal levels to enhance LGs business growth.What You Will OwnWork cross-functionally throughout the organization to assist in the development of a legislative and regulatory policy agenda that will foster an environment for business growth and the LG WayHelp identify potential business opportunities and risks stemming from pending legislative regulatory and related initiatives at the federal state and local levelsContribute to the development and execution of legislative activities and support the crafting and delivery of messages on key advocacy issuesIn concert with the Senior Director work with trade associations and consultants to keep abreast of public policy issues relevant to LGAssist in drafting regular government affairs briefing materials including memos and PowerPoint presentationsAbility to own and drive priorities within your policy portfolioExperience working in a corporate environment or managing corporate clientsstakeholders is a plusSupport LG as a brand ambassador" at events as necessaryOther duties as assignedRequired QualificationsBachelors degree requiredMinimum of 7 years of Capitol Hill Executive Branch or previous government relations experience Trade Associations Corporate or Non-profitStrong interpersonal communication and writing skillsWriting and reporting detailed summaries on legislation regulation and political landscapes is criticalA deep understanding of the legislative and political process with experience on energy transportation environmentcan substitute for tax trade" and other issue areas as assignedExperience working with trade associations industry groups and coalitionsExcel and PowerPoint skills requiredExcellent writing capability i.e. briefing documents reports policy analysisRecruiting Range135000-195000 USDBenefits Offered Full-Time EmployeesNo-cost employee premiums for you and your eligible dependents for competitive medical dental vision and prescription benefits.Auto enrollment with immediate vesting of competitive company matching contributions in a 401k Retirement Savings Plan with several investmentoptions.Generous Paid Time Off program that includes company holidays and a combined bank of paid sick and vacation time.
