Join us as a Senior Plastic Mold Tooling Technician
Let’s cut to the chase. Do you love making complex tooling perform flawlessly? Are you at your best when you’re diagnosing a stubborn gating issue, perfecting a fit, or balancing a hot runner? If yes, this Factory Fix Specialist role is for you.
Why this role matters
You’ll be the hands-on expert who keeps our plastic injection molds performing at their peak—building, repairing, modifying, and validating tools so production runs smoothly and parts meet spec every time.

- Translate blueprints, drawings, sketches, written instructions, and existing parts into precise machining and assembly plans.
- Set up tool-room machinery with the right materials, speeds/feeds, and tolerances to deliver precision results.
- Fit and assemble mold components, tools, and dies—without compromising delicate, high-value tooling.
- Install molds in presses, run test shots, and confirm parts meet dimensional and cosmetic requirements.
- Root-cause mold/tooling issues and apply effective fixes or design modifications.
- Perform inspections and measurements before, during, and after machining to uphold tight tolerances.
- Use precision measuring and gauging equipment to verify critical features.
- Weld and heat-treat components when required.
- Execute fine modifications and repairs using hand tools and tool-room equipment.
- Assist with press repairs and overhauls to minimize downtime.
- Advise designers and engineering on manufacturability and tooling risks for new product designs.
- Operate cranes, boring machines, machine tools, and mold presses safely and confidently.
- Collaborate with processors, maintenance, quality, mold setters, supervisors, and production to resolve issues fast.
