Description

Senior Plant Engineer

The Senior Plant Engineer provides leadership for site engineering, capital projects, and facilities operations. This role oversees engineering staff and construction resources while ensuring projects are executed safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, execution, and closeout of capital construction and facility improvement projects
  • Manage cross-functional teams to design, build, and commission facility and utility upgrades
  • Develop and track project schedules, budgets, and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with cGMP standards and site safety requirements throughout all project phases
  • Author and execute commissioning and validation protocols
  • Maintain project documentation including change controls, purchase requests, schedules, and technical drawings
  • Participate in change control review processes for plant modifications
  • Own and drive long-term facility master planning aligned with operational goals
  • Support day-to-day facility operations and provide troubleshooting as needed
  • Supervise and develop engineering and construction staff, including assigning work and mentoring junior team members

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related) with 10+ years of facilities or plant engineering experience, or

    Associate’s degree in a technical field with 15+ years of relevant experience

  • Strong leadership, technical writing, and communication skills
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Excel, and Word

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $120,000–$145,000 plus bonus
