Description

The ideal candidate for our Senior PHP Cloud Developer position can design scalable, secure systems while contributing to and maintaining the organization's overall cloud infrastructure. Job Responsibilities

Job Description:

  • Project management from conception through completion, including gathering requirements, design and functionality development, and delivering a finished product
  • Understand computer science fundamentals, object-oriented coding principles and practices, and possess the ability to deliver a finished project without relying on frameworks
  • Demonstrate mastery of PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Design and implement secure, scalable cloud APIs for Canfield’s patient portal ecosystem
  • Develop dynamically rendered pages using JS and AJAX data
  • Optimization of application performance and implementation of backend security controls
  • SQL database experience including schema design, table normalization, and the writing of efficient queri

Qualifications

Core Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, computer science preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 7 years’ experience with PHP (object-oriented PHP 8+ required), JavaScript (with closures), and relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL)
  • Solid understanding and effective use of sessions
  • Demonstrated experience in technical project management
  • Proficiency for writing cross-browser code
  • Experience in troubleshooting legacy systems and moving them forward including contributing to the quality assurance process by working to resolve bugs

Desired:

  • Familiarity with configuration of PHP and Apache (including virtual hosts)

About Company

Canfield Imaging Systems is the world-leading developer of specialized photographic systems for medical practices, institutions, research organizations, and pharmaceutical suppliers. Canfield offers comprehensive benefits to its employees. These include paid days off, medical, dental, and vision insurance, may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, and a 401(k) plan with employer match (currently set at 50%). The anticipated salary range for the position is $110,000.00-$145,000.00 annually. This is dependent upon consideration of multiple factors when determining a base salary such as a candidate’s experience, education, and current market conditions. If the role is eligible for full benefits, it will be discussed with you during the interview process.
