    Minimum Qualifications

    Bachelors degree. Two years of human resources or personnel experience are required. Additional experience in human resources or personnel management may substitute for the college education on a year for year basis.

    The Senior Personnel Specialist functions as the recruitment specialist for the Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources. This position is responsible for departmental recruitment activities, including creating and routing job openings during the approval process, requesting job postings, reviewing interview questions, screening applicants, scheduling interviews, and providing on-site or virtual support during the interview process.

    Additionally, incumbents in this position are responsible for finalizing panel members scores on a scoresheet and distributing it to staff, offering jobs to candidates, and maintaining the recruitment vacancy report and various human resources-related documents and reports. Additional responsibilities entail analyzing the department's needs, preparing recruitment strategies, and implementing related processes and recommendations for areas of responsibility based on research analysis.

    This role also is also responsible for reviewing present conditions and available resources, succession planning, and implementing recruitment best practices for optimal use of resources.
