Position Summary
Join a growing agency where relationship building and exceptional client service are valued. Choice Insurance Agency is seeking a Personal Lines Account Manager to manage an established client portfolio, develop trusted client relationships, and contribute to the continued growth of our agency.
The ideal candidate will bring strong personal lines insurance expertise, excellent relationship-building skills, and the ability to mentor junior team members while helping drive client retention and satisfaction.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of personal lines clients.
- Conduct policy reviews and recommend appropriate coverage solutions based on client needs.
- Process new business, renewals, endorsements, policy changes, and cancellations.
- Partner with insurance carriers and clients to support the claims process and provide ongoing guidance.
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell and round out accounts through consultative conversations.
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation within agency management systems.
- Assist with training and mentoring junior account managers and new team members.
- Stay current on industry trends, carrier offerings, and regulatory requirements.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- An Active Property & Casualty License required; Virginia license required within a specified period if currently licensed in another state.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in personal lines insurance account management.
- Strong knowledge of personal lines products, including homeowners, auto, renters, and umbrella coverage.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and relationship-management skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency with insurance agency management systems, CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience managing complex or high-value personal lines accounts.
- Previous mentoring or leadership experience within an insurance agency environment.
