Job Description

  • Design and develop PCB layouts for advanced electronic assemblies using Altium Designer.
  • Ensure all layouts comply with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) standards and internal design requirements.
  • Perform layout verification activities using automated design validation tools.
  • Manage PCB designs through the complete product lifecycle, from initial concept through fabrication and assembly release.
  • Collaborate closely with Electrical Engineers to implement schematic changes and create new or revised board designs.
  • Partner with Mechanical Engineers to integrate mechanical constraints, keep-out zones, terminals, and other physical design requirements.
  • Work alongside Manufacturing, Operations, and NPI teams to optimize designs for production and reliability.
  • Lead and coordinate design review meetings with key project stakeholders.
  • Prioritize multiple concurrent projects to ensure design milestones and release deadlines are achieved.
  • Support component library maintenance activities and resolve CAD-related issues.
  • Generate stencil and manufacturing documentation required for production releases.
  • Maintain accurate design records while adhering to established engineering processes and quality standards.

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum 3 years of PCB design or CAD experience.
  • Strong proficiency with Altium Designer.
  • Understanding of PCB design fundamentals, including SMT, through-hole components, and advanced via technologies.
  • Knowledge of PCB fabrication, assembly, and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to interpret schematics and collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to participate in technical design reviews.
  • Experience supporting designs through release and production is preferred.
  • Exposure to BluePrint, Valor, ODB++, or similar engineering tools would be advantageous.
  • Familiarity with power electronics applications is beneficial.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic engineering environment.
