Senior Payroll Accountant
Direct Hire| Overland Park, KS (Onsite)
LHH is assisting with a search for a Senior Payroll Accountant for a client in Overland Park, KS. We are looking for someone to work on-site with pay starting at $65k and going up based on experience. This position is ideal for someone with strong hands-on, in-house payroll experience who wants to expand their knowledge of union and construction payroll while building a long-term career. What You'll Do:
Process full-cycle, in-house weekly payroll for an initial employee population of approximately 200.
Manage payroll from timecard entry through payroll processing, tax reporting and related reconciliation/reporting.
Handle union payroll and reporting, including certified reporting requirements.
Support multi-state payroll processing and tax remittances.
Process off-cycle payroll items, including per diems, allowances and other payments.
Partner with an experienced payroll team of approximately nine professionals.
Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure timely, accurate payroll processing.
What We're Looking For:
3+ years of payroll experience preferred.
Hands-on, in-house/end-to-end payroll processing experience is required.
Union payroll experience is highly preferred, particularly within the construction industry.
Construction payroll experience is preferred but not required for someone with strong in-house payroll knowledge.
Multi-state payroll experience is a plus.
Experience with Vista by Viewpoint and UKG is preferred but can be trained.
