Job Title: Senior Part 145 Planner / Scheduler
Department: CMRO
Reports to: Manager, Business Operations P145
Direct Reports: 0

Planner/Scheduler position is responsible for the effective generation of maintenance control schedules and processes. He / she is responsible to the Manager, Business Operations P145 for the efficient and effective planning and scheduling of all maintenance & completion activities, including work order set up, customer discrepancy tracking and technician advisory system. Target goals will result in achieving deadlines through setting realistic benchmarks. In order to fulfill these responsibilities, the Planner/Scheduler will coordinate and communicate with the Maintenance Manager/Supervisor, Engineering Manager, Quality Control Manager, MPTS Manager, CMRO Director and various other departments within AWPC to develop goals, benchmarks and skills and suggest the proper resources to develop a safe, effective and efficient work process plan.
Additionally, to assist with setting department budgets through effective us of spreadsheet tools.
Duties and Responsibilities:

1.
Review the work to be performed and determine the best way to schedule and accomplish it.
Consult with Leads, Supervisors, Engineers, Program Managers, P21 Planner/Scheduler and
MPTS as necessary to determine resource availability and corresponding work load.

Work with Director, CMRO to accurately collect & analyze customer discrepancies during aircraft deliveries.

3.
Provide job schedules based on craft / skills required, sequence required and number required.
Job schedules will include paint activity, aircraft maintenance and aircraft completions.
In addition job will include significant back shop activity involving dynamic components

4.
Assist MPTS with vendor service expediting to accommodate the work schedule (i.e.,
Part repairs, NDT, machining, etc.).

Assist Maintenance Supervisor with collecting cost estimates for work to be performed: labor,
material, and outside services. Additionally, to set-up the work order for work to be performed.

In coordination with Maintenance Supervisor; develop a preliminary workforce schedule
by crew, ensuring all skill requirements and resource availability are met.

7.
Actively participate in scheduling meetings with inter-company departments to finalize
priority of work, optimum work flow, and necessary lead times to accomplish work.

8.
Follow up, revise and communicate schedule to all departments: P145, P21, outside services, MPTS, Customer Service, Quality, Flight and Engineering

9.
Keep accurate metrics on the performance of planning and scheduling functions and provide timely reports to the Manager, Supervisors and Leads in all affected departments

A. Education
Minimum two year AS or equivalent
Bachelors Degree preferred
B. Experience
5 years in planning and scheduling projects preferred
C. Competencies & Attributes
Strong ability to provide accurate and understandable scheduling plans
Strong ability to manage multiple priorities or projects simultaneously and keep them progressing to completion
Adequate knowledge & skill to accurately schedule work and demonstrate ability visualize and communicate execution of work
Good written and verbal communication skills
Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office platform
Good organizational and planning skills
D. Licensure/Certification
High Proficiency in MS Project, MS Excel, and MS Access
High knowledge of SAP
